GO PLAY Volunteering
GO PLAY is run through the students union and is the perfect way to start a new sport. Sport sessions are throughout the year for blocks of 6 weeks, participants range from complete beginners to people looking to get back into sport. This year GO PLAY is looking to extend their programme with the help of the volunteer programme.
Volunteer coaches are needed for a variety of roles which can be anything from coaching the sessions to planning a brand new sport programme.
Fresh ideas of new sports are always welcome, as are beginner coaches looking to gain experience or if you are already experienced in a particular sport just let us know, there are opportunities for everyone!
Opportunities available in project management, lead and assistant coaches.
In return for your hard work there are opportunities through GO PLAY and the volunteer programme to gain NGB coaching and officiating qualifications in your chosen sport.

Intra Mural Volunteering
The Sports Centre is expanding their Intra Mural programme by organised annual and termly competitions for various AU clubs.
Volunteers are needed to help plan and deliver these events alongside the sports centre staff. Events to date include; Indoor Athletics Competition at Gateshead Stadium and Intra Mural Volleyball Tournament at the Sports Centre.
