Workshop Overview

This workshop is suitable for new users to Microsoft PowerPoint.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the workshop participants will be able to:

  • Design a Presentation
  • Work with existing presentations
  • Create a new presentation
  • Use a variety of PowerPoint views
  • Use a variety of slide layouts
  • Apply a PowerPoint Theme
  • Print slides
  • Dividing PowerPoint into sections (New to 2010)

The workshop programme is as follows:

  • What is PowerPoint?
  • Principles of Presentation Design
  • Working with existing presentations
  • Working in Normal View
  • Working with slides in Outline View
  • Using the Slide Sorter View
  • Adding Notes to a slide
  • Applying Design Themes
  • Working with placeholders, lists, text boxes and formatting
  • Creating a simple PowerPoint Presentation
  • Printing from PowerPoint
