It is a legal requirement for all Student Ambassadors to be aware of all Child Protection and Health and Safety Legislation. On appointment you will be asked to apply for Enhanced Disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau and all Student Representatives will receive full training about the policies and procedures Newcastle University have in place and the role they will play.

It is vital for all Student Ambassadors to understand and comply with the Child Protection Policy (doc) and NSPCC Definitions and signs of abuse (doc).  Should an incident arise, your role is to inform the lead member of staff immediately and complete either an Accident Report Form (doc) or an Incident/Disclosure form (contained within the Child Protection Policy).
