Welcome to Newcastle University Chaplaincy

A dozen heads are better than one

Chaplaincy is here for everyone on the journey together

We can offer you...
  • prayer and worship
  • confidential listening and support
  • faith exploration
  • spiritual accompaniment
  • discussion and engagement
  • meditation

...and of course socials, fun and friendship!
Please note: The Chaplaincy is usually at 19/20 Windsor Terrace, which is behind the Robinson Library. However, the building is currently structurally unsafe for more than 2 people to be there at once, so all groups are being relocated. Please do email for further information.

The University Chaplain

The University Chaplain coordinates the work of the chaplains on campus and advises the University on faith matters.

The Chaplaincy Team

The Chaplaincy Team is currently made up of several Christian chaplains, a Buddhist chaplain and a Jewish chaplain and is committed to religious tolerance, diversity and respect. Further information on the faith provisions in Newcastle can be accessed in our rough guide to places of worship and faith provision leaflets.
