About the Chaplaincy

We are a team of chaplains working together. We are appointed by our faith communities, recognised by the University and are affiliated to the Student Wellbeing Service.

We are committed to working with students and staff of different faiths and none and to making the University a place of religious tolerance and respect.

We are joined in our work by a further team of honorary chaplains who are all members of staff in the University.

Where we are

The University Chaplaincy is located behind the Robinson Library.

Here we have:

  • an office which serves as a base for the chaplains
  • a meeting room (Mandela Room)
  • the "Peace Room" for individuals to use for prayer, quiet
  • a library of Christian books that may be borrowed
  • Facilities for tea and coffee making

In the library there are 3 networked computers, which anyone is welcome to use. Please ask, and we can activate your smartcard.
