The chaplains represent different Christian denominations and other world faiths. Some are full-time and some are part-time. They are all very willing to be contacted, to try to help out in any way they can.
The Christians work as a Local Ecumenical Partnership, supported by the Anglican, Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, Salvation Army and United Reformed Churches. There is a full-time chaplain (Anglican) who acts as team leader and coordinates the work of the other chaplains.
The Chaplaincy has recognised a wider group of honorary chaplains. These are current members of University staff who are committed members of local Christian churches and wish to support the work of the Chaplaincy:
We are in the process of appointing Faith contacts, representing some of the faith communities not represented on our chaplaincy team. This list is being added to all the time – for further details please contact the coordinating chaplain (catherine.lack@ncl.ac.uk )
