Someone to Listen

Mondays 3:30pm - 4:30pm and Thursdays 11:30am - 12:30pm. Takes place in the Law School and anyone can drop in to see a Chaplain.

English Language Classes

Tuesdays and Wednesdays during term time, 10.00 am - 12.00 pm

At Brunswick Methodist Church, Brunswick Place, NE1 7BJ.
Volunteer-led English classes for international students and their families. We cater for students who are just starting to learn English and advanced students who are keen to explore the English language. These classes are free.

Mindfulness & Meditation

2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month 5.30 p.m. - 6.30 p.m.

Mindfulness & Meditation can help and support with quieting the mind, relaxation and emotional wellbeing. No prior knowledge or experience needed, this session is open to all staff and students, no cost.

Guided Meditation for Relaxation

Come and recharge your batteries during these gentle guided meditation sessions All welcome. No experience necessary. No cost.
These sessions will be approximately twice per month, on Wednesdays or Thursdays. Further details are available at Buddhism at Newcastle University.

Wednesday Holy Communion Service

Wednesdays at 12.15 pm throughout the year.

Holy Communion Service at St Thomas' Church (opposite King's Gate). All welcome. It is a welcome oasis of quiet in the middle of the week.

Bede House Catholic Chaplaincy  (Services during term time):

Sunday Mass: 6:30 p.m. followed by social time in The Bar

Weekday Mass: Monday and Thursday 5:15 p.m. and Tuesday and Wednesday 12:30 p.m.

Reconciliation: By appointment with Fr Dominic

Adoration: Sunday 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Rosary Group: Tuesday 5.15 pm

The Holy Biscuit

'The Holy Biscuit is a partnership between The Biscuit Factory Art Gallery and the Methodist Church which aims to develop Community and cultural activities, and to work collaboratively to enhance the Arts in Newcastle.
