The mathcentre website has recently been updated, including sections on
Test Yourself Exercises, Diagnostic Tests and Video resources. If you experience problems with the above link try clicking here. They also have the following new content:
- 12 Teach Yourself booklets covering calculus, with links to the STACK (System for Teaching and Assessment using a Computer Algebra Kernel, developed by Dr Chris Sangwin of Birmingham University). This online facility, from appropriate places in each booklet, enables students to practise randomly generated examples and gives them access to fully worked solutions. Repeated attempts are possible and similar questions may be attempted. (Let Me Choose, STACK);
- An interactive version of the Algebra Refresher Practice and Revision booklet, with dynamic links to other mathcentre resources. (Let Me Choose, Practice and Revision, Algebra Refresher – Interactive version);
- Mathtutor extension videos which show practical applications of mathematics in everyday life, made available under a new resource category for Motivating Mathematics. (Let Me Choose, Motivating Mathematics).
