Do you belong to an innovative and creative society? Do you think that your society’s events have improved the wider student community this year?
Remember, societies are created 'by students, for students' to develop your university experience for the better - be it learning new skills, discovering a new hobby or just making a wide range of friends.
If you have created a new society, or done something that you think would be good enough to make you the Best Society of the Year, then get nominating!
For this award, the achievements must have taken place during the 2013/2014 academic year.
The largest of the student societies, the Islamic Society seeks to create a community for Muslim students in Newcastle, whilst engaging with the wider student community.
Their 'Discover Islam' week promoted an understanding of Islam as a religion and as a culture.
They have also been heavily involved in the Black and White City project and raised a significant amount of money for charity.
