Many famous presenters and producers began their careers in student radio: Rich Clarke, (Capital FM), Adam Utyman (BBC Radio2), Matt Fisher (Radio 1). So if you are interested in a career in the radio industry getting involved with student radio is definitely the way to go.

Newcastle Student Radio (NSR) isn’t just for students who are interested in a radio career. Whatever your passion there are chances for you to get involved. Whether you love music, art, theatre, comedy, sport, clubbing, studying or just chatting about news and gossip, there is a slot for you at the radio station.

If you don’t want the pressure of hosting your own show there are loads of other ways you can get involved behind the scenes:
