Graduate Skills

Student talking with an employer at a jobs fair

Each skill listed in the ncl+ menu is part of the Newcastle Graduate Skills Framework (PDF: 183KB). The Framework was developed with employers to define a set of skills which, when added to your degree, will give you the skills you will need in your life beyond university.

It's not just about skills...

ncl+ opportunities are not just about developing graduate skills; they're about being accountable, having fun, meeting new people, taking responsibility and growing in confidence.

Whatever you do after University – work, further study, travel, become self-employed - you'll be better prepared.

All the skills in this section can be developed through ncl+ opportunities.

Why not use the Newcastle University ePortfolio to record your activities and reflect on you what you've gained from your experiences?
