Student visa holders are reminded that they may work part-time only when permitted to by their student visa. If you do have permission to work, you may work up to a maximum of 20 hours per week during term-time and full-time only during university vacations. This is strictly enforced by the Immigration Service.

Postgraduate research students who are not subject to standard term-times, should get advice from the Visa Team about vacation employment before working more than 20 hours per week. The Visa Team e-mail is visa@ncl.ac.uk
