Key Information Sets are comparable sets of standardised information about undergraduate courses which are due to go live in September 2012. Newcastle University is already committed to the provision of a wide range of information which supports informed student decision making, and KIS will form part of this.
The KIS Project is part of Project 2012 and forms part of the strategic portfolio of Professor Suzanne Cholerton (PVC, Learning and Teaching). Jeannette Strachan, Academic Registrar, is the KIS Project lead, working closely with Rebecca Walker (Planning Office) on data, and Anne Coxhead (Head of Marketing and Publicity) on web information and publicity. A KIS Working Group was set up in summer 2011, and includes representation from all three faculties as well as relevant professional services.
