Learning Agreements

The University requires confirmation that you have received, understood, and accepted the expectations of your research degree programme. You and your supervisor must therefore sign a “Learning Agreement,” which must be returned to the Research Student Support Team or Medical Sciences Graduate School.

  • Students who are registered on PhD, MD or MPhil programmes must complete and return the form within one month of registering on your programme.
  • Students who are registered on Integrated PhD or professional doctorate degree programmes, (such as the DAppEdPsy or EdD), must complete and return the form within one month of transferring to the research stage of your programme.

In most cases, your School/Institute will ask you to return the Learning Agreement to support staff within your School/Institute in the first instance, who will then forward it to the Research Student Support Team or Medical Sciences Graduate School.
