Where to Get Help

If you are having problems related to living in the community, fist try to talk with your tutor. You can also contact any of the services below.

Accommodation Service

The Accommodation Service offers advice and is the first point of contact for both students and residents regarding any noise nuisance/anti social behaviour problems in the community. They will respond to complaints and liaising directly with Newcastle City Council's Night Watch Team and Northumbria Police. Visit the Accommodation Service website.

Student Wellbeing

Student Wellbeing offers a range of services which aim to support you during your time here in order to ensure successful completion of your studies. Their services are available throughout the year and are completely free and confidential. Visit Student Wellbeing.

Student Advice Centre (SAC)

The SAC are an independent advice service for students and have strict rules regarding the confidentiality of student contact. Their service is available to any student who has an issue that needs resolving. The SAC is situated on the first floor of the Union Society Building, Kings Walk. Visit the SAC website.

Student Progress Service

You may wish to make a complaint about other students whose inconsiderate or unacceptable behaviour is affecting you. Please see the Formal Complaints Procedure for submitting a complaint about an individual(s) or contact casework@ncl.ac.uk for further advice/report a house of students regarding noise concerns.
