These screens contain most of the information that the University holds about you. It is important that the information is correct and complete.
Some of the information is required for statistical purposes. You may find the following notes helpful on some of these fields.
The information will be held and used in accordance with the University’s data collection notice.
The values for these fields are determined by a government statistical agency called the Higher Education Statistics Agency.
We encourage you to complete all fields, but if you feel uncomfortable completing any of these fields you are able to refuse the information – select the information refused option in the drop down list.
Please complete all of these fields in full. It is very important that the University has up to date and accurate contact details for you. In the event of an emergency it is critical that the University can contact you or your family.
You can use the Student Details screen to keep this information up to date throughout your study – eg if you move house during the year, notify the University of the change by entering it in S3P.
If you make an amendment to these fields, the change is recorded but is not reflected in the system straight away. Instead, you will be advised (by a notice on the Status screen and by e-mail) that the changes you have requested have been sent to your school or graduate school for research students.
This is because these fields are very important in confirming who you are and in some cases we may need to ask to see your passport or other official documents before we make the changes.
If you have a nickname or an English name in addition to your official name, you may use the Known As field.
Do not use your nickname in the First Name and Last Name fields above. These must match your official name, ie the name in your passport or other government documents, because this will be the name that appears on pass lists, degree parchments and official University documents and you may not be able to change it later.
This field displays the highest qualification(s) that you had before you started at the University. The values for these fields are determined by a government statistical agency called the Higher Education Statistics Agency.
You cannot change this field as it could affect your fee status. If you think field is incorrect, contact your school or graduate school.
This only applies if you have studied at degree level (including higher education certificates or diplomas) in the past – and if you answered yes to the above question.
The drop down list includes all the major UK universities and colleges. If you cannot find the organisation that you studied at, select Other UK Institution or Other non-UK Institution.
Note, when the on-screen message says No school results found, this means that we do not have a record of your A/AS level qualifications in the system.
