Projects
The Writing Development Centre is committed to providing quality resources for independent learning and for use in group teaching sessions and individual tutorials. We are currently working on a materials development project which will enable us to expand our collection of online resources and include materials on discipline-specific writing.
We are also building a corpus of student writing which will enable us to find out more about the types of writing students do at Newcastle and the standards they achieve at each level. We will use extracts from academic assignments in the corpus to develop teaching materials and resources for independent learning.
