Mature Student Introduction

Mature Students

Being successful with your application to Newcastle University is only a small step on the mature student journey. This acceptance can lead to a feeling of excitement and celebrations, however after the celebrations calm down sometimes other feelings can manifest.

Will I fit in?

Will I keep up with the younger generation?

Will I be able to survive the course, (Am I smart enough?)

How will I juggle kids and study?

How will I manage financially?

How will I adapt to student life and balance home commitments?

Will this impact on existing relationships back home?

These were all concerns raised by new mature students during the mature student orientation day. However, you do not have to cope alone and Newcastle University is able to offer support in all of these areas.
