Barriers to disabled sport participation

My name is Zoe Campbell and I am currently doing my dissertation on the barriers to disabled sport participation for people over the age of 18 in higher education.

I am at Northumbria University and I am studying Sports Coaching. As a disabled student myself, the area is of great interest to me.

• The study is looking into physical/ emotional and environmental barriers to people with a physical disability.
• The research study only involves a 30-45 minute face to face interview with questions based on barriers and higher education support, at a place convenient for the participant and that is all you need to do to take part.
• The study and its protocol have received full ethical approval from the Department of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation ethics system.
• All information relating to the name of anyone who decides to take part is confidential and the interview will never be associated with your details.
• I need three physically disabled people who DO take part in sport and three physically disabled people who do NOT take part in sport, to make comparisons from the results.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to take part you can email me on z.f.campbell@northumbria.ac.uk.  I am then happy to answer any further questions you might have regards to the study.
