Roles and Responsibilities
I have been a Therapist with the Student Wellbeing Service at Newcastle University since September 2013. I am here to provide support and guidance for students on mental health issues and general wellbeing, through face to face therapy and group work. I also provide workshops for students on issues relating to stress, assertiveness and building resilience. The therapeutic models I use include counselling and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy). Alongside my colleagues I also provide mental health awareness training for staff throughout the University. I am also a supervisor for PWP (Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner) trainees.
