Background and Roles and Responsibilities

I have worked at Newcastle University for 24 years; all of my roles within administration starting with, a personal assistant, progressing to a project co-ordinator, office manager, administration officer and currently the Interaction Team & King’s Gate Building Manager in Student Services.  My role within Student Services is to provide strategic leadership for the Interaction Team (i-Team) in order to support the University’s strategies for enhanced student experience at all stages of the student lifecycle.   I proactively evaluate customer needs and liaise with a diverse array of services to develop strategy, policy and systems that ensure a professional and integrated service is delivered by my team.

With my other hat, as King’s Gate Building Manager, I oversee the management and effective operation of the building deploying resource to meet the needs of colleagues whilst also maintaining a professional hub for students and visitors to the University.
