Accessibility
The University has a published policy for ICT Accessibility which includes web accessibility. The text size and styles on this web site can be changed.
Bookable study rooms
There are two study rooms in the Robinson Library and one in the Walton Library that can be booked by disabled students. These have laptop docking points and PCs with assistive software. Two of the rooms have video magnifiers (CCTVs).
Laptop docking and wireless facilities
The University has laptop docking and wireless facilities in a number of locations across campus. Information about what is available, and how to connect your laptop, can be found at Networks and Communications
Blackboard
Electronic copies of paper materials can be made available for download and printing by students in a suitable format or for use with assistive software before lectures. They are housed on a secure web-based system, Blackboard.
Other equipment and facilities
There are a range of facilities and equipment available in the Robinson and Walton Libraries including video magnifiers (CCTV). Information is available on the Library web site.
A number of the lecture theatres have induction loops. For information about the teaching rooms see the Teaching and Learning Facilities pages.
A range of assistive technology can be borrowed by staff and students from the Hardware Loans Scheme.
