Students with Physical Impairments

On application to the University

If you have a physical impairment for which you may require support while studying please contact  Student Wellbeing prior to commencing your course.

A physical impairment may affect your mobility or dexterity to varying degrees.  You may use mobility equipment such as a wheelchair or crutches on a regular basis or this may fluctuate from day to day.  The impact of your impairment may also vary, depending on the task you need to complete or the time and resources available to you.   For example, you may require the support of others to enable you to carry out daily tasks, or you may need to consider issues around accessibility, distance, and the physical tasks involved when making day to day decisions.

You may have a temporary impairment such as a fracture or soft tissue damage which is affecting your activities at the moment but is expected to improve over time.
