International Scholarships Certificate Presentation and Reception

On Wednesday, 28th November 2012 the University hosted the annual International Scholarships Certificate Presentation and Reception, for international students who have been awarded a central university scholarship or external scholarship, including the following:

• Newcastle University International Postgraduate Scholarships

• International Undergraduate Merit Scholarships

• Overseas Research Scholarship Awards

• Commonwealth Shared Scholarship

• British Chevening Scholarships

• Commonwealth Fellowships or Scholarships

The purpose of the International Scholarships Reception is to honour this group of high achieving students and enhance their experience of Newcastle in addition to fostering links with students who may become important/influential alumni in future years.

The students were presented with a certificate to mark their achievement. The event also gave the scholars the opportunity to socialise and network with University Officers and other staff from across the University.
