Students who incur additional costs because they have a disability, specific learning difficulty, mental health condition or ongoing medical condition may be eligible to apply for additional funding from Student Finance by applying for Disabled Students' Allowances (DSA).
More information about applying for DSA and the support available can be found on our disability web pages.
Students who think they have a specific learning difficulty should contact the Specialist Learning Team. They may recommend that a psychological diagnostic assessment is undertaken. Any student who requires an assessment will be required to pay for this. However students may be able to claim up to £300 of these costs back through a subsidy. This will be discussed in the appointment with a Specialist Learning Adviser.
