Postgraduate & International Tuition Fees

Advance payment

Payment can be made by accessing the Student Self Service Portal (S3P) when you receive your invitation to register or alternatively by the University online payments system You can also contact the Tuition Fee Team by telephoning 0191 222 5520.

If you do not take advantage of the 2% discount by paying your tuition fees in full before or at registration you are required to pay your tuition fees as follows:

  • half in advance of or at time of registration - 23rd September 2013
  • half due 31st January 2014

Payment at registration

If you are a self-financing student you can pay your tuition fees by the following methods:

  • personal cheque**
  • building society cheque**
  • Euro cheque/ travellers cheques
  • cash *
  • credit/debit card
  • Direct Debit (January instalment only)
  • bank transfer (contact cash@ncl.ac.uk for banking details)

* Please try not to bring cash for security reasons. ** Cheques should be made payable to Newcastle University.

Sponsored/funded students

Students funded from other sources should bring with them a letter from their funding organisation, which should be on official letter-headed paper, indicating that tuition fees will be paid for the relevant academic year and quoting any relevant reference or purchase order number.

Sponsor letters from previous academic years will not be accepted unless they cover the full duration of the course. The University reserves the right not to accept sponsorship letters that do not fulfil the above criteria.

Students funded by their academic school

You should ensure that your school has completed and forwarded the relevant paperwork to the Finance Office, indicating the amount of tuition fees to be paid and the relevant financial code to be debited.

Reminders and other correspondence will be sent to your University e-mail address, please ensure you check your inbox regularly.

Please note it is your responsibility to make sure your tuition fees are paid in full and on time.
