Mental Health and Counselling Support

Students talkingWe aim to support all students to get the most from their life at University.

We support and respond to students' emotional needs and general wellbeing. The service has a preventative, as well as responsive role, offering therapeutic intervention, group work, life skills support, consultancy and training.

We offer both face to face and online therapy. For face to face we offer initial appointments and aim to see students within five working days from the day that they make contact. For online therapy, please complete the online registration form.

Currently there is a high demand for therapy services, however we will be able to provide you with face to face support, should you be spending your summer in Newcastle. Alongside this there are a number of alternative professional sources of support which you can access, at any time.

Consultancy is an advice and signposting service, operated by qualified Student Wellbeing Service professionals, for those who are concerned about the mental health of a Newcastle University student.
