Information and resources

In this section you will find links to a wide variety of excellent resources which are known to work well for people who are struggling emotionally or psychologically. These include NHS guides, module-based workbooks, wellbeing podcasts and other online information and support.

Student Minds is the UK’s student mental health charity, offering information and resources on a variety of topics including managing exam stress, preparing for a year abroad and supporting a friend.

No panic is a registered charity which helps people who suffer from panic attacks, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorders and other related anxiety disorders.

Students Against Depression offers information and resources validated by health professionals alongside tips and advice from students who have experienced low mood or depression themselves.

Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust has developed a series of self-help leaflets covering a range of issues including sleep problems, stress, controlling anger and alcohol use.

Mental health charity, MIND, provides information and support on various mental health problems including anxiety, self-esteem and common eating disorders.

The Mental Health Foundation helps people to access information about the steps they can take to look after their own mental health. Resources include a range of ‘How to ..’ guides, videos and podcasts.

Centre for Clinical Interventions (CCI) workbooks

CCI has developed a number of evidence-based workbooks which address common mental health issues. Each one consists of a number of modules that you can work through and complete in your own time.
