The National Student Survey 2013 will begin at this University on Monday 4th February 2013 with all final-year undergraduate students receiving an e-mail from Ipsos-MORI inviting them to complete the NSS at www.thestudentsurvey.com or on their smartphones. The Survey will close at the end of April 2013 - but staff are advised to encourage students to fill in the survey before they leave for Easter. Results for NSS 2013 will be published in late August.
The NSS 2012 results are available on the Planning Office webpages.
Staff can see the quantitative results by School and subject area and, for the first time in 2012, also by degree programme. There are charts of subject area rankings across the sector and institutional-level results comparing Newcastle to other Russell Group universities. The students’ open comments are confidential to individual schools and have been sent to heads of school, NSS contacts and school administrators in the first instance.

ULTSEC and Senate consider the results of the National Student Survey and the International Student Barometer each year. Graduate School Committees consider the results of the PRES and the PTES with a view to proposing developments to PGR and PGT programmes.
