Get Involved

For Staff

If you would like to raise any environmental sustainability issues specifically about where you work, have any suggestions or are keen to support your EC, please get in touch with your local Environmental Coordinator.

If you’d like to learn more about how you can win awards by greening your department, take a look at the Green Impact pages.

If you are a new member of staff you can find out more about Sustainability at the University by attending the Staff Welcome Event, which you can book on at the Staff Induction Pages. All staff are invited to attend this event where you will hear more about the University in general from senior management.

There is also a dedicated section on the progress of Sustainability on campus and the news and achievements of the Sustainability Team. The most recent presentation can be found here. Members of the Sustainability Team also attend the corresponding Welcome Event, to answer questions of the new staff, and to promote our discounted sustainable travel incentives as well as provide more general information to new staff.

Go Green Week

The Students Union run an annual “Go Green" week, where the Sustainability Team provide resources and other support. This year we were able to organise tours to O’Brien’s, our general waste contractor, so students could see how our waste is separated and processed! We plan on supporting Go Green weeks in the years to come, and hope to reach both new and returning students and increase the awareness of the sustainability initiatives and achievements on campus.
