A degree alone is no longer enough to guarantee graduate success. That's why we're committed to promoting a full range of social, cultural, sporting and community activities that give you chance to develop skills and knowledge outside your course.
We've brought all these activities together in our University-wide skills initiative, ncl+.
ncl+ opportunities are not just about enhancing your CV, they're also about having fun, meeting new people, trying new experiences and growing in confidence. They include activities such as:
- improving your language skills
- coaching a sports team
- working on a student newspaper
- leading a student society
Each skill offered through ncl+ is part of the Newcastle Graduate Skills Framework. The Framework was developed with employers to define a set of skills which, when added to your degree, will give you the skills you will need in your life beyond university.
