Starting your Business at Newcastle University
You might have an idea, invention or a hobby that you are thinking about turning into a business.
28 new businesses were set up by our students in 2011-12, with the support of our Rise Up team of:
- business advisers
- business support staff
- entrepreneurs and professional partners
who can offer specialist advice and practical tips to help you get started.
You don't need to have a full business plan - the Rise Up team is dedicated to supporting you from the ideas development stage through to launching your new venture and beyond.
You'll also have access to free workspace facilities to help develop your ideas.
Business support is available throughout your time at Newcastle and indefinitely once you graduate.
