As one of the top 20 ‘most targeted’ universities by the UK’s leading employers, Newcastle graduates have an excellent reputation with graduate recruiters.
Over 260 employers visit us each year to attend recruitment fairs, hold interviews and deliver presentations, ultimately to recruit our students. We hold two large, annual recruitment fairs attracting major graduate employers, plus sector specific fairs for IT, engineering and law.
- Well-established links with over 80 of the employers featured in The Times newspaper’s Top 100 Graduate Employers list.
- Over 2,000 employers advertise vacancies, work experience and placement opportunities with our Careers Service each year.
- Excellent links with local employers, who provide a wide range of work experience and graduate opportunities, and around 44 per cent of our graduates who go into employment do so in the North East region.
