If you want to study subjects from right across the science of biology, this degree provides the broadest range of modules, covering plants, animals and micro-organisms, and at all scales from molecules to the biosphere:
Over the course of the whole programme you will progressively develop the practical skills required for effective laboratory and field research.
You will also improve your capabilities in information finding, critical thinking, communicating technical information to readers and listeners, self-reliance and teamworking, all of which will help you towards graduate-level employment.
You can also choose to take the career development module, allowing you to gain academic credit for work undertaken in a local school, volunteering activities or a part-time job.
Our degrees are divided into Stages. Each Stage lasts for an academic year and you need to complete modules totalling 120 credits by the end of each Stage.
