Agriculture (Deferred Choice) BSc Honours UCAS Code: D400 (3 years)School of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development

We encourage you to apply for our Deferred Choice option if you want to study Agriculture at Newcastle but you are not sure whether you want to specialise in agronomy, animal production science or farm business management in your third year.

As first and second year are the same for all of our Agriculture students, choosing our Deferred Choice option lets you delay your choice of specialism until the end of Stage 2 after which you will transfer to D444 (Agronomy), D422 (Animal Production Science) or D402 (Farm Business Management) for your third and final year.

Our degrees are divided into Stages. Each Stage lasts for an academic year and you need to complete modules totalling 120 credits by the end of each Stage.
