Animal Production Science is no longer simply concerned with maximising animal performance. It now recognises that it also has a wider social responsibility to guarantee the integrity of the food that we eat.
This degree gives you the opportunity to consider aspects of animal production science in more detail, such as food safety, environmental impact, legislative requirements and advances in biotechnology to the production chain.
Our degrees are divided into Stages. Each Stage lasts for an academic year and you need to complete modules totalling 120 credits by the end of each Stage.
The first two years are the same for all of our agriculture degrees so you have the flexibility to change to between them up to the end of Stage 2 should you find your interests change.
You take 50 credits from the following list:
Other optional modules may also be available from the wider University.
The modules listed here are those currently being taught in this academic year and may vary for your year of entry.
