This flexible degree gives a broad training in geography. Both the BA and BSc degrees allow you to develop an understanding of both social and physical processes.
You also develop a deeper insight of selected geographic analysis including social, economic, cultural, political, long term (quaternary) and contemporary environmental change and management.
As well as undertaking modules in geographical study skills and methods, you can choose to specialise in mostly human or mostly physical, or a combination of human and physical geography pathways.
We offer geography as either a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree:
At all Stages you benefit from regular pastoral meetings and an inclusive programme of geography community events, which allows staff, students and local experts in the field to exchange ideas and share their passion for the subject.
Our degrees are divided into Stages. Each Stage lasts for an academic year and you need to complete modules totalling 120 credits by the end of each Stage.
