This degree programme provides a broad foundation of science-based skills. It will equip you with an understanding of contemporary issues in environmental management and knowledge of the interactions between processes in the physical environment and ecosystems.
You will gain an awareness of the legislative and ethical framework within which environmental scientists operate, equipping you for careers in a range of environmental professions, particularly in areas relating to environmental protection.
Our degrees are divided into Stages. Each Stage lasts for an academic year and you need to complete modules totalling 120 credits by the end of each Stage.
You take 20 credits of the following optional modules:
Between Stages 2 and 3 you may choose to take a placement year to gain practical experience in the environmental sector.
