A Levels

AAB preferably including two science subjects (one of which may include Geography). GCSE Mathematics (minimum grade C) required if not offered at a higher level.

Scottish Qualifications

AAABB including at least two sciences (which may include Geography). Mathematics required at grade 2 Standard Grade (or Intermediate 2 equivalent) if not offered at Higher Grade. Combinations of Highers and Advanced Highers accepted.

International Baccalaureate

A minimum of 30 points with at least one science subject at Higher Level grade 5 or above. Mathematics or Mathematical Studies at Standard Level grade 4 or above if not offered at Higher Level.

Irish Leaving Certificate

A1A1A1B1B at Higher Level, to include two science subjects (Geography or Mathematics included).

Access Qualifications

At least 30 level 3 credits in a science subject and at least 30 level 3 credits at a minimum of Merit.

BTEC Level 5 HND

In a science-related subject to include at least eight units at Merit grade, including Physical or Biological Sciences at Merit grade and Mathematics at Pass grade.

BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (formerly BTEC National Diploma)

In a science-related subject at overall DDD, to include Physical or Biological Sciences and Mathematics units.

Advanced Diploma

Advanced Diploma in all lines of learning except Hair and Beauty Studies acceptable. Grade A/B in Principal Learning and Extended Project required, and a science or Geography A level at minimum grade B. GCSE Mathematics also required at minimum grade C if not offered at higher level.

Cambridge Pre-U

D3,D3,M2 in Principal Subjects preferably including two science subjects (which may include Geography). GCSE Mathematics (minimum grade C) required if not offered at a higher level.
