This degree programme allows you to study mathematics and statistics in greater breadth and depth, enabling you to explore the key issues in cutting-edge research currently taking place at the University.

You spend the first two years following a common core of modules with our BSc students. This provides a solid foundation on which to build more specialist knowledge at Stages 2, 3 and 4, through a wide range of optional modules.

You also undertake a substantial project in Stage 4 that allows you to delve deeper into an area of particular interest. Your final degree title is determined by the combination of mathematics and statistics modules taken in Stages 2 to 4.

Our degrees are divided into Stages. Each Stage lasts for an academic year and you need to complete modules totalling 120 credits by the end of each Stage.
