This degree programme provides a modern introduction to financial mathematics and management. It equips you with the knowledge and skills to apply mathematics and statistics in the business world.

You spend two thirds of your time on financial mathematics and mathematics and statistics. You spend the remaining third on management topics, delivered by Newcastle University Business School.

You choose modules in mathematics and statistics at each Stage from the same list of modules available to BSc Mathematics and Statistics students, although you are directed towards modules with financial, commercial or managerial applications. 

Our degrees are divided into Stages. Each Stage lasts for an academic year and you need to complete modules totalling 120 credits by the end of each Stage.
