This degree programme covers all the material necessary to become a civil engineer.

You will also develop a valuable combination of technical ability, critical judgement, communication skills and intellectual qualities.

Our degrees are divided into Stages. Each Stage lasts for an academic year and you need to complete modules totalling 120 credits by the end of each Stage.

Students who have achieved an average of 55 per cent in their Stage 2 assessments may also apply to transfer to our Civil Engineering MEng Honours degree for the remaining two years.

The Engineering Council (UK) recommends that UK and EU students apply for the MEng degree as this is seen as the most direct route to becoming professionally qualified.
