Civil and Structural Engineering MEng Honours UCAS Code: H242 (4 years)School of Civil Engineering and Geosciences

This degree is designed for students who wish to pursue a career in structural engineering.

While it does not prevent you from working in other areas of civil engineering, you will be well placed to go on to design and build the structures that are central to our infrastructure such as bridges and buildings. Your work may even take you in to designing industrial systems and specialist structures such as oil platforms and aircraft frames.

We offer this degree at Master's (MEng) level and Bachelor's level (BEng). The Engineering Council (UK) recommends that UK and EU students apply for the MEng degree as this is seen as the most direct route to becoming professionally qualified.

Our degrees are divided into Stages. Each Stage lasts for an academic year and you need to complete modules totalling 120 credits by the end of each Stage.
