This degree has been developed in consultation with the offshore industry in order to meet its increasingly specialist demands.

Successful graduates will have the education and skills to design fixed and floating offshore oil and gas production installations and vessels. They will also have the skills to work in other sectors such as thermal energy conversion or seabed mineral recovery.

Our three-year BEng degree provides you with a firm foundation in this exciting subject area. For those wishing to study in more depth, our four-year MEng degree includes a combined group project and report and the opportunity to study further advanced modules in offshore engineering.

Our degrees are divided into Stages. Each Stage lasts for an academic year and you need to complete modules totalling 120 credits by the end of each Stage.
