Naval Architecture MEng Honours UCAS Code: H503 (4 years)Marine Technology MEng Honours Option
School of Marine Science and Technology

This degree focuses on the design, production and operation of ships and other marine vehicles.

Further optional specialisation is possible. The individual design project at Stage 3 also provides an opportunity to develop creative skills in an area of your choice.

We have good experimental facilities, including a model-testing tank, extensive computing facilities and the largest commercial propeller test tunnel in the country.

We offer this degree at Master's and Bachelor's level. The Engineering Council (UK) recommends that UK and EU students apply for the MEng degree as this is seen as the most direct route to becoming professionally qualified.

Our degrees are divided into Stages. Each Stage lasts for an academic year and you need to complete modules totalling 120 credits by the end of each Stage.
