Electrical and Electronic Engineering BEng Honours UCAS Code: H607 (3 years)School of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering

This degree emphasises the applications of devices and systems. The supporting practical work includes substantial project elements.

It has many elements in common with our Electronic Engineering degree and Stage 1 is the same for both degrees, allowing for transfer between them.

As well as technical options, your degree also includes non-technical modules such as management subjects and modern languages.

We offer this degree at Bachelor's (BEng) level and Master's (MEng) level. Our Bachelor's level (BEng) degree is professionally accredited and highly rated but you will have to undertake some further study in your career to become a Chartered Engineer.

The Engineering Council (UK) recommends that UK and EU students apply for the MEng degree as this is seen as the most direct route to becoming professionally qualified.

You follow the same programme of study for the first two years as our MEng students. This means you may transfer to the MEng at the end of Stage 2, depending on your academic performance.

Our degrees are divided into Stages. Each Stage lasts for an academic year and you need to complete modules totalling 120 credits by the end of each Stage.
