This degree explores philosophical questions about topics like the nature of existence, mind and body, knowledge, goodness and beauty.
Learning in philosophical studies is an active process, centring on your own reading and inspired by lectures and discussion in seminars and tutorials.
A context-driven project, designed in response to a changing graduate market, is a vital and unique aspect of the course and will take up one third of your time. You will be encouraged to relate philosophical ideas to your own area of interest as part of your project work.
In each Stage of the degree you can take a third of your modules from a wide range of art, language, social sciences or science options available at the University. This provides an extremely flexible degree structure, which you can tailor to suit your interests.
