+ A Levels

AAA normally including Art or Design and excluding General Studies and Critical Thinking. Candidates without Art or Design are welcomed and will be asked to attend an interview and/or submit a portfolio for review. GCSE grade B in Mathematics and English required if not taken at a higher level.

+ Scottish Qualifications

AAAAA at Higher Grade including Art, Mathematics and English. AH in Art or Design (excluding Photography and Textiles) is preferred.

+ International Baccalaureate

A minimum of 37 points preferably with Art at Higher Level grade 6. Standard Level Mathematics or Mathematical Studies required at grade 5 if not offered at Higher Level. 

Any applicant wishing to submit a portfolio for consideration in support of their application is welcome to do so.

+ Irish Leaving Certificate

A1A1A1AB at Higher Level, to include Art at grade A.

+ Access Qualifications

Units in Art, Mathematical Studies and English required at Distinction. At least 30 level 3 credits at Distinction and in addition at least 15 level 3 credits at a minimum of Merit. Candidates without Art will be considered but would need to demonstrate creativity via an interview and/or design portfolio.

+ BTEC Level 5 HND

In Art and Design subject area including 180 credits at Distinction grade.

+ BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (formerly BTEC National Diploma)

In an Art/Design subject at overall DDD. Candidates without Art or Design are welcomed and will be asked to attend an interview and/or submit a portfolio for review.

+ Cambridge Pre-U

D3,D3,D3 in Principal Subjects normally including Art or Design (but not Lens based Imagery or Textile Design). Candidates without Art or Design are welcomed and will be asked to attend an interview and/or submit a portfolio for review. GCSE grade B in Mathematics and English required.

+ English Language Requirements

For this degree you will need a minimum score of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
