Our degrees are divided into Stages. Each Stage lasts for an academic year and you need to complete modules totalling 120 credits by the end of each Stage.
Please be aware that programme modules do change and therefore may differ for your year of entry.
You take 40 credits of language modules. Your choice of Level A or Level B language modules will depend on your previous experience in your chosen language.
For students with an A level (or equivalent) in their chosen language.
Students taking Level B French, German or Spanish also take the following module:
You take 40 credits of language modules, building on your language learning at Stage 1.
For students who took Level A modules in Stage 1.
All Level B language students also take the following module:
For students who took Level B language modules in Stage 1.
You spend the whole year in a country where your chosen language is spoken, either studying at a partner university or on a work placement. Alternatively you can choose to undertake a combination of the two.

You take 40 credits of language modules building on your language learning in Stages 1 and 2.
For students who took Level B language modules in Stage 2.
For students who took Level C language modules in Stage 2.
