Newcastle University has joined forces with professional services firm PwC and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) to offer this innovative degree.
Combining the study of business, accounting and finance with guaranteed paid work placements at PwC, it accelerates your progress to qualification as a Chartered Accountant. The result is that you could be fully qualified in just over a year from graduation.
This degree is professionally accredited by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
It contains custom-designed modules that satisfy the requirements for the ICAEW’s Professional Stage examinations. Providing you pass these modules with a mark of 50% or 55% (depending on the module) you will be able to complete the requirements for the ICAEW’s Professional Stage by the end of Stage 3.
This means that once you graduate, you will have only the ICAEW’s three Advanced Stage examinations to pass in order to complete all the examinations needed to qualify as a Chartered Accountant. Some of the material that you study in Stage 4 of the degree will help you with these final papers.
